Quad-Cities Men Indicted On Firearm And Arson Charges

DAVENPORT, IA – On January 19, 2012, Darrell Rice and Cordell McDowell were indicted for an arson that occurred on November 7, 2011, at 3304 Heatherton Drive, Davenport, Iowa. Cordell McDowell was also indicted for being a felon in possession of firearms, along with three other individuals. McDowell, Rice, and Darnel Arrington will be arraigned on Friday, January 27, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. Nietzsche Wilson is scheduled to be arraigned on February 24, 2012.

The arson count is punishable by at least 5 years imprisonment up to a maximum of 20 years imprisonment, up to three years supervised release, and a $100 special assessment to be paid to the crime victims fund. The firearms counts are each punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment, up to three years supervised release, and a $100 special assessment. As in any criminal case, a charge is merely an accusation, and a defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
